Welcome to the Africa Queen

An out-of-the-ordinary cruise...

An eight-day cruise around the Bijagos archipelago, a once-in-a-lifetime destination.
A unique opportunity to discover this remote area of West Africa.

The Africa Queen offers unpretentious cruising to a life-enriching learning experience for those seeking casual, destination-intensive, soft-adventure cruises.

Built in 1953, the Africa Queen accommodates a maximum of 30 passengers in 15 air-conditioned cabins. She carries a French officer, a mainly Senegalese crew and the clientele will be mostly Europeans with a natural penchant for learning about nature and different cultures. They also enjoy sharing the experience with others.

Seven-night itineraries include twice-daily visits to the islands that allow passengers to experience a variety of activities, all designed to provide close encounters with nature.

The Bijagos archipelago is also one of the best destinations for fishing.
